Storm Beach has been woven using natural undyed yarns of alpaca, cotton and Shetland wool. The base is an incredible hand-dyed merino yarn from Skein Queen - they have the most stunning colour combinations, and this one fitted perfectly with the tones of a pebbly beach back home in Shetland last winter as dusk was approaching, and stormy skies drawing in overhead. I remember that day exploring boat noosts around the coast, the wind was fierce and the sea washing hard against the beach. I love winter!
